About the Whole Child Collaborative
Using a Whole Child (WSCC Model) approach, our team supports buildings and districts in creating an aligned system using high-quality, evidence-based programs and practices. The WSCC framework clearly outlines and defines the components (blue ring) a school needs to consider to build a system that supports well-being and student success. As a collaborative, we promote, develop, and implement practices to support all learners' positive social, emotional, mental, and physical well-being.
Data-driven decision-making considers a wide range of academic and non-academic data points. By collecting data on students' education, culture, health, and well-being over time, schools can identify what is effective and where adjustments may be needed.
WSCC is student-centered, emphasizing the role of the community in supporting the school, the connections between health and academic achievement, and the importance of evidence-based school policies and practices.
The tiered delivery system is one of the five essential components of the Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) framework. It uses whole child data throughout development, implementation, and continuous improvement. The MTSS framework builds on a public health approach that focuses on organizing the efforts of adults within systems to be more effective in supporting student success.
