Homelessness

Student Education Services serves the homeless students in all public school districts and charter schools throughout the County.

Immigrant and Refugee Services

The immigrant, asylee and refugee services provided by Oakland Schools department coordinates a countywide consortium for all districts.

Workforce and Economic Development

Business and industry partnerships help Oakland Schools keep its pulse on providing relevant learning opportunities to the students and families it serves.  

Wraparound Services

Wraparound is a County wide program that provides support to families who have at least one student with a Serious Emotional Disturbance (as defined by the Mental Health Code) and are at risk for placement in juvenile detention, psychiatric facility, protective custody or foster care.

Youth and Foster Care

It is the shared commitment of Oakland Schools and the Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) to do everything possible to ensure that students in foster care achieve academic success and graduate alongside their peers.
