Oakland Schools Student Services Department provides direct instructional programs for K-12 students and consulting services for local districts throughout Oakland County.

OAKLAND SCHOOLS TECHNICAL CAMPUSES (OSTC)

Four Oakland Schools Technical Campuses offer high school students an opportunity to discover career paths and receive extensive training in one of many programs, from Construction to Health Sciences to Computer Programming and more.

 

ACCELERATED COLLEGE EXPERIENCE (ACE)

ACE, or Accelerated College Experience, is a Michigan Department of Education approved early college program that partners districts with Oakland Community College (OCC.)

 

VIRTUAL LEARNING ACADEMY CONSORTIUM (VLAC)

The Virtual Learning Academy Consortium is a full-time Seat Time Waiver (STW) program allowing districts to have a 100% online learning experience for their students in Kindergarten through eighth grades.

 

OAKLAND TECHNICAL EARLY COLLEGE (OTEC)

Oakland Technical Early College is a rigorous three-year program offering high school students an early start in post-secondary training to better prepare them for high-skill, high-demand and high-wage careers.

K-12 CAREER READINESS

Our Career Readiness team implements a sequence of events and activities designed to engage educators, students, and parents to help grow our region’s talent pipeline.  This county-wide focus and framework helps all students in Oakland County to become career ready.

CAREER AND TECHNICAL EDUCATION

There are more than 320 state-approved CTE programs in 32 Programs of Study in Oakland County. Each year, more than 17,000 students countywide (28 local school districts and four Oakland Schools Technical Campuses) participate in these career-focused series of courses.
