Middle School Summer STEM Camp

Summer STEM camps at Oakland Schools Technical Campuses (OSTCs) in Royal Oak, Pontiac, Clarkston and Wixom for 6th, 7th and 8th graders.

Middle School Summer STEM Camp

6th grade: June 24-28 

7th grade: July 8-12 

8th grade: July 15-19

Students will experience project-based, hands-on activities in Culinary Arts, Engineering and Emerging Technology, Health Sciences, Information Technology, Robotics and Visual Imaging.

Students will also explore college and career pathways while spending a day at Oakland University touring the campus and visiting STEM-related programs of study. Additionally, students will participate in career development activities.

Career Cruising

Career Cruising is web-based, self-exploration career and college readiness management system provided to Oakland County middle school and high school students.

Students utilize Career Cruising to complete their Educational Development Plan (EDP), which includes interest and skill assessments, high school and post-secondary planning tools, job market information, career exploration activities, a talent portfolio and more.

MI Bright Future

MI Bright Future is an enhancement to Career Cruising, which connects students and educators to local business and industry.

Students have the ability to research local companies, post questions on a discussion board to hear from industry experts, and search for work-based learning activities, such as job shadows, company tours, internships and more. Educators can identify potential guest speakers, project and curriculum advisors, committee members and opportunities for company tours.
