Career Readiness experiences offer educators opportunities to engage with and learn from leaders in the business/industry and post-secondary communities. The outcome is for educators to share what they learned from the industry and post-secondary partners with their students to help them better prepare to enter the workforce.

In this on-going series, K-12 teachers, counselors and administrators spend part of a day with local employers, exploring industry trends and ways to connect classroom content to the work world and best business practices. During an event participants gain

  • Information about local employer needs, labor market trends and new technologies relevant for educators.
  • Connections between their classroom content to real world applications and business practices ensuring students are career ready.
  • Meaningful collaboration between educators and the business community.
