Our goal is to help students cultivate their artistic voices, refine their skills, and nurture a lifelong passion for creative exploration. 2026 Oakland County Treasurer's Financial Empowerment Arts Contest
We are very pleased to announce the kick-off of the 2026 Oakland County Treasurer’s Financial Empowerment Arts Contest, generously sponsored by Flagstar Bank. This 2-D and multi-media/video contest for Oakland County public high school students focuses on the importance of financial understanding. The online submissions will be adjudicated on creativity, artistic execution, incorporation of the financial empowerment theme, and answers to the supplemental questions.
Ninth through 12th grade winners will receive cash prizes - over $140,000 has been awarded over the past 14 years! All submissions will be printed and displayed in the Oakland County Treasurer's office and online for one year, and ALL participants and "fans" will be invited to the in-person reception which will take place in Spring of 2026.
This contest is for more than 2-D art! Two of the past $1,000 winners were stop-action videos, and we’re hoping for a music or theatrical video this year. We hope you will encourage your students to participate!
