The Educational Technology team at Oakland Schools works to support the applied use and integration of digital technologies in education. We offer consulting and professional learning services to public schools in Oakland County, as well as support and leadership for local, regional and state educational technology-related initiatives. We also provide services related to digital materials and platforms.

Oakland Schools provides a variety of listservs to keep educators in the loop during the year with new resources, opportunities, and information affecting you as an educator of specific content or grade level. The Educational Technology team has a listserv that would be of interest to Oakland County educators at all levels and all areas of instruction.

Oakland Schools (REMC 17) provides 2 options for subsidized Digital Learning Platforms to the public school districts and public school academies. Private schools are eligible to purchase subscriptions at the REMC Bid pricing.
- Discovery Experience - Discovery Education Experience is a comprehensive K–12 digital learning platform that offers over 200,000 standards-aligned resources to support daily instruction across all subjects.
- Learn 360 by Infobase – Learn360 is a K–12 multimedia solution that features 38,000+ curated videos, along with educator guides and tools that help students build essential research skills, strengthen critical thinking, and foster lifelong digital discernment habits.

STEM Checkout Program (STEMco)
The REMC 17/Oakland Schools lending library of maker materials is combining with the STEM Checkout program (STEMco). This will greatly expand the number of items available for educators working in public schools located in Oakland County to check out for use with their students.
- The equipment of STEMco is available to all Oakland County Educators.
- Items come with support from Oakland Schools STEM consultants.
- It's free of cost.
