• Classes begin promptly at 7:00 a.m. and end at 2:30 p.m. with lunch and two 15 minute breaks. Class starts promptly at 7am, please do not be late.
• Students are required to bring their Beginning Bus Driver Manual to this class.
• Drivers must attend the six hour course and pass a written exam to be eligible to receive a Certificate of Continuing Education Card (green card).
• Course Completion Cards (green card) will be mailed to the employer.
• Oakland Schools must be notified at least seven (7) business days prior to the scheduled class date of any cancellation.
• Any registration changes must be made not less than three (3) business days before the start of class.

The Michigan Department of Education has separated transportation supervisor training into two segments. Three hours shall be taken each year to be eligible for a supervisor card.

The three hour training sessions will only be held one time each year at Oakland Schools. To be eligible for a supervisor card, attendance is required for all six hours.

Please note: Public Act 187 states: "The person or persons in charge of school bus operations at a school shall successfully complete 6 hours of supervisor continuing education every 2 years after the successful completion of the beginning school bus driver training program."
