Dr. Wanda Cook-Robinson

Dr. Wanda Cook-Robinson is a lifelong educator. She is an instructional architect who creates educational environments where all children can reach their optimum potential. On July 1, 2015 she assumed the position of Superintendent of Oakland County Schools. In this role she has added her years of educational experience and vast leadership skills, to support the academic achievement of over 200,000 students in Oakland County’s 28 public school districts, public school academies and non-public schools. She leads an organization dedicated to providing services directly to students through the Oakland Schools Technical Campuses, Early College programs, project-based, blended-learning programs, programs and services offered to children with special needs and the birth-to-Kindergarten population. Oakland Schools also works directly with educators to provide high-quality professional development and personal learning opportunities. Prior to this role, she served 14 months as the Oakland Schools Chief of Staff.

Assistant Superintendent, Education Services

Michael Yocum Ph.D.

Michael Yocum Ph.D. is the Assistant Superintendent for Educational Services for Oakland Schools. Dr. Yocum has over 30 years serving public education in the fields of curriculum, instruction and assessment. While at Oakland Schools, Dr. Yocum has helped develop numerous innovative programs, many of which are used across the state and in some cases nationally. These include the Accelerated College Experience, Oakland Opportunity Academy, Adolescent Accelerated Reading Initiative, Authentic Instruction: A Professional Development Program and many others. He has also served in numerous leadership roles at the state level including the Chair the General Education Leadership Network, the Executive Director of the Michigan Council for the Social Studies, Co-Director of the Michigan Curriculum Framework, and a member of the Special Education Advisory Committee to the State Board of Education. Dr. Yocum is the recipient of the Crystal Apple: Outstanding Educator Award from Michigan State University College of Education, and the Excellence in Educational Leadership Award from the University Council for Educational Administration and the University of Michigan College of Education. Dr. Yocum received his Ph.D. in Curriculum, Teaching and Educational Policy from Michigan State University.

Assistant Superintendent Shared Services & Chief Information Officer

Tammy Evans

Tammy Evans is the Assistant Superintendent of Shared Services and Chief Information Officer for Oakland Schools, an Intermediate School District servicing Oakland County Public Schools.  Tammy has over twenty-five years of experience serving public education in strategic technology planning, application development, consortium application selection and implementation, IT security, and district IT support.  One of her key roles is focused on statewide initiatives that will provide all of Michigan’s public-school districts an avenue to accurately track and report student data and designing the Michigan Statewide Education Network (MiSEN).  Tammy also directs the team responsible for Oakland Network for Education (ONE), the fiber network connecting all Oakland County Public Schools.  She also oversees the Oakland Schools’ field and shared services teams that provide direct (and daily) support to district central offices for IT, finance, human resources, procurement and budget.

Dandridge Floyd

Dandridge is an executive human resource professional with extensive diversity and inclusion talent acquisition experience. Dandridge is currently the Assistant Superintendent of Human Resources and Labor Relations for Oakland Schools, one of Michigan’s largest intermediate school district, where she provides leadership and governance on matters ranging from workforce management, labor relations and diversity and inclusion initiatives, to Oakland County’s 28 public school districts.



Assistant Superintendent of Finance and Operations

Dr. Pamela Scales

Dr. Pamela Scales is the Assistant Superintendent of Finance and Operations. Dr. Scales joined Oakland Schools after a 33-year public finance career in the City of Detroit. At Oakland Schools, Dr. Scales is responsible for ensuring financial management functions and activities are operated in a legal and efficient manner to provide maximum support and contribution to instructional programs while providing strategic leadership for the services of Finance and Operations. She also provides executive leadership over the preparation of the Comprehensive Annual Financial Report and leads the development of the ISD’s Five-Year Financial Forecast. Scales has a Doctorate of Business Administration from the University of Phoenix, a Master of Business Administration in Finance from the University of Detroit Mercy and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of Michigan – Ann Arbor.
