OSTC-SE represented itself well at the BPA State Leadership competition in Grand Rapids in March. Multiple Cyber Security students placed in the top three of their respective competitions, earning a spot at the national competition in Anaheim, CA.
The students who placed and will attend the national competition are:
- Gavin Hakim - 2nd Place PC SVC + Troubleshooting & 3rd Place Information Technology Concepts
- Charlie Galloway - 3rd Place Information Technology Concepts
- Javid Ditty - 3rd Place Information Technology Concepts
Placing at the state level competition shows that these students are at the top of their class. Cyber Security instructor Michael Mayville is very proud of Gavin, Charlie, and Javid, as well as all his students who compete in BPA. Doing so will boost their resumes, impress employers, and allow for important networking opportunities. Mr. Mayville tailors his classroom environment to get the most out of his technology savvy students. BPA competitions are just one of the ways Cyber Security learners prepare themselves for the next steps after OSTC-SE.
