Cyber Security students from Oakland Schools Technical Campus Southeast (Royal Oak) are now state award winners after placing in the top three of their respective competitions at the Michigan Business Professionals of America’s (BPA) Secondary State Leadership Conference.
The winners will now compete in BPA's 2019 National Leadership Conference May 1-5 in Anaheim, California.
Those attending the national conference are:

  • Gavin Hakim – Bloomfield Hills High School senior; second place in PC SVC + Troubleshooting and third place in Information Technology Concepts
  • Charlie Galloway – Ernest W. Seaholm High School junior; third place in Information Technology Concepts
  • Javid Ditty – Berkley High School senior; third place in Information Technology Concepts

“This program excels at student participation and accomplishment. There was an exceptional effort by all students at the competition,” said Cyber Security Instructor Michael Mayville.  “To already have students competing on the national level is amazing. I’m glad our students are earning the recognition they deserve.”
