Substitute Teaching for Oakland Schools ISD programs
Oakland Schools currently recruits for substitute teachers in the four technical campuses that provide Career Focused Education programs throughout Oakland County. The campuses are located in Clarkston, Pontiac, Royal Oak, and Walled Lake.

The State of Michigan requires any substitute teacher candidate to complete 90 credit hours in any subject area from a four-year college or university. The permit application must be submitted to the Michigan Department of Education (MDE) by the district in which you will be working. An official transcript is required. These are for substitutes who do not have a teaching certificate but are working in an extended substitute assignment. The application requirements vary for each type of permit and must be submitted by the district in which you will be working. View MDE Teacher Permit information here.
