Carol Klenow, Ed.D.
Dr. Carol Klenow began her career at Oakland Schools in 1980 as an instructional computing consultant. Throughout the years, she has taken on new challenges including serving as the Director of Information Resources beginning in 1988 and Assistant Superintendent for Student Performance in 1996, before becoming Associate Superintendent in 2004.
Dr. Klenow received her Ed.D. in Administrative and Organizational Studies from Wayne State University, her Masters of Mathematics and Teaching from Oakland Univeristy and her BS in Mathematics with a Secondary Teaching Endorsement from Michigan State University.
Dr. Klenow provides executive leadership for Human Resources, labor relations, organizational development, and grants. She directly oversees the Human Resources Department, the JobLink Service Center and the Wraparound and Homeless Student Education Programs. Dr. Klenow coordinates the organization’s planning and continuous improvement efforts along with initiatives to provide training and support for Oakland Schools' workforce.
