WELCOME

The Michigan Center for Civic Education (the Center) is a non-partisan 501(C) 3 corporation, established in 1982 as Michigan’s premier organization solely dedicated to preparing an active and informed citizenry.

The Center's mission is to promote and support the development of responsible citizens through study of civics, government, and law, in elementary and secondary schools.

The Center offers programs and instructional materials aimed at providing young people with the knowledge, and the opportunity to practice the skills necessary for effective citizenship in a democracy.


Michigan High School Mock Trial Tournaments

The 2008 Michigan High School Mock Trial Tournament Champion is Kalamazoo Central High School   The team emerged victorious after their final round against Forest Hills Eastern high School held at the Veterans Memorial Courthouse in Lansing on March 15, 2008
