Bibme - Free Bibliography Maker On the Web
By Judy Hauser @ 3:11 PM :: 797 Views :: 2 Comments ::
bibme.jpgBibme is a free website that allows you to build your own bibliography on the web. With this bibliography maker you can first try to find a book, magazine article, newspaper article, website, journal, film or other by title, author or ISBN (for books) from the Bibme database. If you locate the title you then select it and add it to your bibliography. You may also use the “Manual entry mode” to locate a source.

Once your bibliography is created you simply select the MLA, APA or Chicago format from a dropdown menu and your bib is formatted! From there you can download the bib as an RTF file to edit in a word processor, save it to your account or start over.

I have been working with teachers this week exploring Microsoft Office 2007. There is a built-in bibliography feature in Word that is easy to use. I wonder how it compares to BibMe.

I would like to know how they compare. I'm sure there are also other free bib makers and it would be interesting to see how they compare too. Judy
